We are delighted that you would like to visit us with a group. It is important to us that your visit with us is an unforgettable experience. Our group offers are perfect for school groups, clubs, family outings and other group events. With special prices, tailor-made packages and a variety of activities, we offer everything you need for a successful group excursion. Due to the high demand for our train, we strongly recommend that you make your reservation as early as possible to secure your place. Please note that without prior reservation, availability cannot be guaranteed.
Prerequisites
In order to confirm a reservation, we need the following information:
- Travel date
- Desired departure time from Brienz and Rothorn Kulm
- Number of persons
- Contact details (name, home address, phone number and e-mail address)
- If desired, booking for lunch at the Mountain hotel Rothorn Kulm
We only accept group reservations for groups of at least 10 adults. We will be happy to make you a non-binding offer for the train and Mountain hotel Rothorn Kulm in combination.
Please note that demand is very high and we cannot accommodate every group request. We therefore recommend that you book early.

Swiss National Holiday on first of August
Celebrate the Swiss National Holiday on the Brienzer Rothorn! On the festive evening trip, you will travel on our unique steam cog railway through a magnificent mountain landscape and blooming Alpine flora. At the mountain hotel Rothorn Kulm at 2266 m above sea level, you will enjoy a delicious buffet with typical Swiss specialties, accompanied by folk entertainment. You can also admire the numerous bonfires on the mountains around Lake Brienz. Back in Brienz, you can marvel at the big fireworks display from the lakeside promenade. These are set off from a boat in front of the Schnitzler village, rounding off a wonderful evening.

The private steam train
Customers always expect something new, original and unusual. We have something for you: the "private steam train" from Brienz Rothorn Railway will satisfy even the most demanding guests. Whether for family or club outings, class reunions or club events - a nostalgic steam train just for your customers, quasi en famille. A very special experience! The dates of the extra trips are freely selectable between June and October. The private steam train can also be combined with a series of unforgettable events on the steam cogwheel railway. Workshop tour and tour guide
We give you and your group an exclusive insight behind the scenes of the BRB. The approximately one-hour guided tour provides lots of interesting information about the history and technology of Switzerland's oldest steam cogwheel railway, which has never been electrified. During the tour, participants will experience, see, hear and smell the steam spirit that has been with us since 1892.
Optionally, a tour guide can be booked for the group tour during the trip to the Rothorn and back.

Hardly anywhere else offers a more impressive panorama of Lake Brienz and the Bernese Oberland than from the Brienzer Rothorn. Thanks to the unique location of our mountain house, all rooms offer an unforgettable view to the north or south. The cozy rooms all have hot and cold water, showers and toilets on each floor. Dogs even stay with us free of charge.

- In the event of high passenger numbers or technical failure of a steam locomotive, diesel locomotives may be used for passenger services.
- Please note that the steam train generates noise and steam.
- We can also transport up to two wheelchairs without a motor if booked in advance.

Arrival
Brienz Rothorn Railway is located in the middle of Switzerland. Our steam cog railroad can be reached by train or car in an hour from Lucerne and in just 20 minutes from Interlaken.

Parking lots
Parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity of the valley station in Brienz and are signposted. Long-term parking spaces for coaches (free of charge) are also available on the quay of the BLS shipping company in Brienz directly opposite the Brienz Rothorn Railway station.
